2026 midterms · governor races

Governor races

What the candidates in 12 competitive governor races have raised and spent, and the outside groups spending for and against them. Governor campaigns report to their state, so each race follows that state’s filing schedule and every figure shows the date it runs through.

14 days until Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 3.

Where these numbers come from

  • House and Senate pages are built automatically from FEC filings every night. Governor campaigns file with their state, and every state has its own system, so these pages are read by hand from each state’s filings.
  • We update a race after its state’s reporting deadline, about once a week. A new filing can take a few days to show up here, and states that report less often can be weeks behind. Each figure shows the date it runs through and links to the filing.
  • Each state sets its own reporting rules and deadlines, so figures in different states cover different dates. Compare figures within a race.
  • Raised totals cover the race so far as the state reports it. Each race page says the exact period.
  • In many states, national groups give directly to a campaign or to a committee the candidate controls. The race pages list how each group’s money got into the race.
  • Some states don’t require outside groups to report until late October, so outside money can be undercounted until then. Each race page says what its state makes public.
  • Because these are read by hand, mistakes are possible. If you spot one, or a filing we missed, email corrections@paidforpolitics.com with a link to the filing and we’ll fix it.
