About these numbers

  • In Wisconsin, a group that spends $2,500 or more on ads for or against a candidate has to report it within 72 hours and name the candidate, so that spending is listed here. Issue ads aren’t reported. Parties can give candidates unlimited amounts, and that money shows up in the campaigns’ own totals.
  • Raised and spent are for 2026 so far.
  • Groups that spent less than $25,000 aren’t listed.
  • Outside spending counts reports filed through Oct. 16.
  • Next report: Fall pre-election report, covering through Oct. 19, 2026, due Oct. 26, 2026. We’ll update this page once it’s filed.
  • Governor campaigns file with the state, not the FEC, so these numbers come from the Wisconsin Ethics Commission and are read by hand after each state deadline, so a new filing can take a few days to show up here. National groups like the Republican and Democratic Governors Associations report to the IRS; their transfers are listed when they appear in state or IRS filings.
